Guest host Michael Upshall has been cranking out expert interviews, having candid conversations with polarizing figures and industry leaders. An overarching trend, it seems, is that no one really sets out to become a librarian, but it happens serendipitously along the way during a "zigzag" career path or from conversations happening with a librarian.

Recently, Michael has talked with Josh Cromwell, Scholarly Communications Manager at University of Southern Mississippi, who has authored a recent Charleston Briefings on  Institutional Repositories. He's an expert in IR's as he spearheaded the launch of the first repository at his University in 2011, and subsequently started a conference to teach others how to follow suit.

Orland Hoeber, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science at the University of Regina; and Founder of Dilex Search, talks about the gap between what a user needs and what is being provided, and his near decade long work in the realm of digital libraries helping people find information in libraries when their search tasks are complex in nature.
