Call for Reviewers — RCL Seeking Subject Specialists

ACRL Insider reports that “Resources for College Libraries (RCL), the Choice/ACRL bibliography of essential titles for undergraduate teaching and research, seeks experienced library subject selectors and faculty to serve as peer reviewers. We are currently seeking referees for the following RCL History and Interdisciplinary Studies and RCL Career Resources subjects.

Reviewers are tasked with assessing the subject collection comprehensively, providing feedback and recommendations for editorial improvement. Peer reviewers evaluate how well the core title lists support the college curriculum, including collection assessment considerations centered on diverse publications, emerging scholarship, and historically underrepresented voices or perspectives. The RCL peer review is a one-time professional service opportunity that can strengthen collection development skills, inform local projects, and build subject expertise. According to this post in Publishing PerspectivesThe administration of Frankfurt Book Fair is accepting program proposals for its various stages with a May 15 deadline.

Organizers of the 76th edition of Frankfurter Buchmesse today are in touch with members of the news media regarding stages and their anticipated focal topics and uses at the upcoming trade show, October 16 to 20.
