October is olive harvest season month in Greece – a tradition that dates back to ancient times! Olives and olive oil are staples in the Mediterranean diet! There’s nothing better than a Greek salad with olives and feta cheese with taramousalata spread! If you haven’t tried it, you are missing something really special!
And – let’s not forget Halloween is in October! Just saw that Conway, SC is attracting tourists By changing its name to Halloween! The Mayor of Conway, Barbara Blain-Bellamy, even held a news conference to proclaim that the City of Conway will refer to itself as “Halloween” this October! Bellamy held that news conference in 2022, however, the town said that it was such a financial success last year that they plan on sticking with it! They have seen twenty times the number of visitors! The punch line: It’s not scary, it’s entertainment!

The focus will be on new companies, content, or technologies that are not widely known by the general library population and that will be of interest to the Charleston Conference audience. Speakers will be organized in a “lightning round” format and audience members will vote to select their favorites in several “Best of” categories.
2023 Application Information:
These sessions are designed to offer publishers and vendors the chance to showcase their newest and most innovative products, platforms, and/or content. Speakers will be organized in a “lightning round” format with 10 companies, each allotted 5-minute presentations, back-to-back. More information on presentation requirements will be sent upon acceptance of your proposal.
