Join Our Team: Collection Strategies Librarian, Colorado State University

Colorado State University Libraries seeks a collaborative, creative, and user-centered librarian for the new position of Collection Strategies Librarian. The Collection Strategies Librarian will actively develop the CSU Libraries’ digital and physical collection in the humanities, arts, social sciences, and business. Through open-access publishing programs and initiative development, this Librarian is an active agent in transforming the scholarly publishing landscape while supporting the research and teaching mission of Colorado State University.

Collaborating with colleagues in the Collection Strategies Unit, this position raises awareness of the library’s collections and evaluates ways in which the collection can be made more accessible to users, working closely with the Collection Strategies Unit to implement progressive collection development strategies including de-colonization, diversification, student success, collective collections, and just-in-time acquisitions.

Applicants for this position should include a cover letter that communicates how your skills and experiences transfer to the qualifications in ways that may not be obvious. Preferred qualifications are not required. The Colorado State University Libraries is committed to lifelong learning and faculty development, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity and support to expand their expertise.

We strongly encourage those who will further advance the Libraries’ commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive community, including those from historically underrepresented groups, to apply for this position. We welcome applicants with a range of experiences, including those new to the profession.
