Hello. While I appreciate you citing our work on the Evolving Scholarly Record (endnote #2), your use of it in your article suggests a closer reading of it may be in order. In the publication you cite, we did not define the scholarly record as “published outcomes of scholarly enquiry” such as “journal articles and monographs”. We said that was how the scholarly record was traditionally understood, but that more recently, a host of additional material, such as the material you discuss in your piece, was now becoming an important part of the documentation of scholarly activity, and needed to be understood as part of the scholarly record as well. In fact, the entire publication is about that very point – hence the title, The Evolving Scholarly Record. Thank you.
