University of Arkansas: Libraries’ $5.1 Million Gifts to Result in Endowments and Named Spaces – Plus More ATG News & Announcements for 1/25/22

According to the University of Arkansas News “Two anonymous gifts totaling more than $5 million will make history and create new opportunities for students and faculty in the University Libraries.
“The majority of the contributions will come from a planned commitment and will establish two endowed faculty positions in the University Libraries, with $3 million allocated for an Endowed Dean’s Chair and $1.5 million reserved for an Endowed Professorship in Special Collections…”


Citing a CC Blog Post, infoDOCKET reports that the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation “recently allocated $1M to Creative Commons (CC) in honor of CC’s 20th Anniversary. This three-year, general operating support will help foster CC’s commitment to Better Sharing by addressing equity gaps and unequal balances of power in the open ecosystem…”
