Citing Pew Research, infoDOCKET reports that “Americans are spreading their book consumption across several formats. The share of adults who have read print books in the past 12 months still outpaces the share using other forms, but 30% now say they have read an e-book in that time frame…”


Also according to infoDOCKET, data from NPD Books shows that “Annual print books unit volume in the U.S. reached 825.7 million, up 9%, or 67.8 million units, over the previous year. 2021 print volume was the highest ever seen in NPD BookScan, going back to the start of data tracking in 2004. This was the first time annual volume rose above 800 million units…”
