The New York Public Library receives $12.5 million grant From Arcadia Fund for open access project

Library Technology Guides reports that “The New York Public Library has received a $12.5 million grant from Arcadia, a charitable fund of Lisbet Rausing and Library Trustee Peter Baldwin, towards a significant investment in the Library’s digital transformation. The grant will support the Library’s efforts to improve patrons’ ability to discover, request, and access in digital format, a copy of almost any book through its online platform…”

EBSCO Information Services releases the EBSCO eBooks Open Access Monograph Collection

Library Technology Guides also reports that “EBSCO Information Services is releasing a new e-book collection containing thousands of high-quality open access (OA) e-books from the world’s most trusted university presses and scholarly publishers. The EBSCO eBooks Open Access Monograph Collection is DRM-free and available at no cost on the EBSCOhost platform and easily discoverable via EBSCO Discovery Service.
