ATG Quirkies: Capital Records Building in Los Angeles sends secrets in Morse code

At least that’s according to this post in Atlas Obscura which claims “a blinking light atop the iconic landmark has been sending secret messages for decades.”

And it’s actually true! But there’s one glitch. You need to know Morse Code to decipher the messages.

It was the brainchild of Alan Livingston, former president of Capitol Records and one specific word was chosen to be the standard message. However, it’s been changes a few times over the years. But, of course, to learn all of that you’ll need to check out this fun Atlas Obscura post.
