Today, Tuesday, November 3, is Vendor Day, a.k.a. the Exhibit Hal or Vendor Showcase, a day dedicated for you to peruse exhibits of products and services from 85 vendors. Executive Director Leah HInds presented a video introduction to help you take advantage of the Showcase. It will be available on demand through the rest of the conference.
Erin Gallagher discussed why the Showcase is valuable from a librarian’s perspective, and Meg White discussed other viewpoints.
The Showcase will be open all day as well as in break times during the rest of the conference so browse at your convenience. You will also find 14 Vendor Information Sessions, which are 20 minute presentations on a variety of subjects that are scheduled every 30 minutes during the day on Tuesday.. Check the agenda to see the list. I plan to attend two of them and will report on them in a subsequent blog post. Even though this is a virtual Showcase, there is a “map” of the Showcase. You can click on an Exhibitor’s “booth” and be taken directly to it. Then you can explore their offerings, talk to the booth staff, or set up a future meeting time.
There are also 33 sponsors (some of them are also vendors) who have generously supported the conference. See the list here.
Enjoy the Showcase!
