It seems that in March 2020 a collection of musical instruments known as the Violins of Hope, many of which are connected to the Holocaust, fell victim to COVID-19 and had to be quarantined in Los Angeles. How it happened is discussed but the main focus of this fascinating article are the violins themselves and the poignant stories they tell.
