Call for Applications: Librarian Travel Award

Applications are now being accepted for the JoVE Librarian Travel Award.

Six librarians will be awarded a travel stipend of $1,500 each to attend the MLA’ 17 Meeting or the Charleston Conference in 2017. The award is intended to encourage librarians to help advance scientific research by empowering scientists, faculty, and students with the necessary information, tools, and training to achieve research reproducibility.

Award and Deadlines:

Each winning librarian will receive a $1,500 stipend to attend the MLA’17 Meeting (application deadline 2/24/2017) or the Charleston Conference (application deadline 8/18/17).  

Application Process:

JoVE will award librarians who are taking initiatives to raise awareness about Scientific Research Reproducibility in their communities. Librarians must submit a one-page essay (500 words max.) describing their initiative(s). Applications will be blind reviewed by a jury of librarians.

Our winners will also have the opportunity to showcase their initiative(s) to their peers in both video and text format.
